What is the difference between Obstetricians and Gynecologists?

While many doctors are both (known as OB-GYNs), their roles are different:

• A Gynecologist cares for a woman’s general reproductive health when she is not pregnant.

• An Obstetrician specifically cares for a woman during pregnancy, childbirth, and the period just after delivery.
