What is a tubal pregnancy, and how does it differ from a normal pregnancy?

A tubal pregnancy is when a fertilised egg gets implanted outside the females uterus, typically in the fallopian tube, contrary to the normal pregnancy in which the fertilised egg implants in the uterus. Tubal pregnancies can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated promptly, as the growing embryo can rupture the fallopian tube, causing internal bleeding and other complications.
