Is assisted hatching safe?

Assisted hatching (AH) is generally considered safe and beneficial in assisted reproductive treatments. However, there are some risks involved, such as potential embryo damage, increased chance of twinning, and interference with the natural hatching process. A common concern is accidental harm to embryonic cells during the procedure, which involves thinning or breaching the embryo’s outer shell.
