How often should I take birth control pills?

You must take birth control pills (BCPs) every day for 21 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day break during which you may take non-hormonal placebo pills or none at all. This applies to the common 28-day pill pack. The specific frequency and schedule can vary depending on the type of pill you are prescribed, so always follow the guidance of your healthcare provider.
