Can testicular maldescent resolve on its own?

In some cases, testicular maldescent may correct itself during the first few months after birth. However, if the condition persists beyond six months, it typically requires medical intervention. Surgical correction, usually through orchiopexy, is often recommended to reposition the testicle and reduce future fertility and cancer risks.
