Can Cramps After IUI Be a Sign of Pregnancy?

Cramping that occurs 6–12 days after IUI could be implantation cramping — a sign that a fertilised egg has attached to the uterine wall. Implantation cramps typically feel like a mild, short-lived pinching sensation and may come with light spotting. However, cramping alone is not a reliable pregnancy indicator, as it can also be caused by the procedure itself or ovulation. The only way to confirm pregnancy is through a beta hCG blood test, which doctors recommend at 14 days post-IUI.
